Penis Envy Cap Spots

I'm not able to upload my pics right now, but for anyone who has grown Penis Envy, do they sometimes get odd spots on their caps? Mine have been fruiting for nine days, in a seven quart sterilite with the lid on. And one of them that is hitting the lid has like an open spot on it. The color of the spot is pretty much whitish/ or the stem color. Almost looks like an insect has ate some of it, but I don't think this is the case. A couple of the others which are not hitting the lid have a couple dark brown spots on them. I know PE stems can be weird, and I definitely see that with a few of mine. But are a few non threating looking spots on PE caps common? Oh, I have only been misting them every once in awhile. Not even every day.

Ok, here is a close up of the open spot:
         

      A shot of the other end of the tub. Notice the one long dark spot on the cap to the right,
     
       

      Can you see the odd marking on the bigger shroom in the top left corner?
       
      It's almost like a reallly light green in tone. If this was trich, wouldn't it be all over this tiny tub?

      Do you see the darker spots on the smaller shrooms in the middle of the tub, up against the side?
 
   
      And now just a general shot,
               

        This tub is uncased so that explains why there aren't many pins in the middle of the tub. Although a few fat ones are starting to come up. In the bottom right corner, you cannot see it, a nice fat, tiny cluster of 4 or 5 pins are starting. Next time I will do PE inside a 27 quart tub for sure. These things are wild looking after you're used to watching other strains grow which all pretty much look the same.
  I have not seen this many markings on the caps of other strains, so I'm assuming this just occurs a lot with PE. Any comments would help and be appreciated.

I see a few dark spots there feelfunny. But none like that first pic in my post. Did you ever have any with that kind of spot?

yea ii got a few on the 2nd flush but the 1 in the 1rst pick looks like a peace of verm on it. i got nothing like that

Almost 24 hours later and these things are really moving along! feelfunny, or anyone else, do these two big thick ones look ready to be picked? I have never seen a shroom so thick and with so much blueing before being picked. I have read here blueing on the stipe is a sign to pick PE, but someone else said you will see blueing in the gills?

this is what mine looked like when i picked under the caps they will start to bulge and the caps usualy get a kind of blue tent at least on mine. so in my opinion they will still get bigger but it is up to you.

Yeah under the caps haven't got crazy looking yet. I think I'll give them some more time, even though it's said to pick fruits, in general, before the veil breaks. I'm just interested in how big they will get actually. I can always grow more if they are not that potent. This is a very fun strain.

trust me even over grown they are no worse than a normal shroom potent wise. once you get 1 done it will help to know when you want to pick next time. with these i think it is with out a doubt a preference thing

Did you use a casing layer in your tub you got there? I wish I had wall to wall coverage,haha.

yea my last PE grow did the same thing when caps hit the lid. kinda like the side of a vegetable that laid on it's side when growing, in the end it didn't cause any problems though.
