There are a few fairly recent threads on this here.  I believe it is true that every day porn for a long enough time will kill your libido.  I actually think it happened to me.

One thing I noticed is I lost my ability to fantasize.  Porn lets you just sit back and watch the stimuli instead of having to create it in your mind.  The part of the brain that normally creates these fantasies and mental images probably becomes less active if porn is watched continuously.

This is interesting to me.  I can easily agree about the addictiveness of porn, as I'm out in the deep end as far that goes.  I'm one of those people who has realized that rule 34 (common internet conception stating "if it exists, there is porn of it") is actually NOT true, sad to say.

For me, it's all about novelty.  I don't have a fetish, I just work my way through ALL of them until I get bored, then find new ones or start back at the ones I've forgotten about.

The internet has made porn so massive in scope and availability that I'm spoiled from it.  I get very frustrated when I think of something I would enjoy seeing, only to find out there isn't any porn of it online.

Conversely, I'm going on seven years with my girlfriend and the sex NEVER gets old.  The only thing that seems to affect either of our libidos is work stress.  She, however, has almost no interest in porn.

Note that one possible factor in this scenario may be that we have somewhat of an unintentional role reversal.  I'm rather effeminate, and she's a tom boy.  Dunno if that has any relevance.

As of late I've been pondering the power of substances, especially psychedelia, as an upgrade (of sorts) to porn.  Some people may feel this is NOT the way psychedelics should be used, and they may be right, but...  Imagine unlocking all of your fantasies in "real time," so to speak.  Now THERE is potential that blows internet media out of the water!

(I was gonna post this anonymously, but then I thought, wait... I don't know any of you guys anyway.  That's like getting cosmetic surgery and then wearing a mask over it.)
