the new infected mushroom cd is out?

somehow i forgot about this, but it's been out for almost a week.

it's actually...good. different, really different. fuckin trippy.

smashing the opponent is definitely one of the worst songs on the CD.

i should probably reserve my judgment until i am sober, but i can't help but be impressed. what do you guys think?

Havent got a chance to hear it yet, i'll download it later when i get my computer hooked up that has a sound card. Im ready for the new bassnectar cd to come out too, cozza frenzy tour in action.

Thanks for the heads up on this, is it comparable to converting vegetarians?

the best way i can describe it is tribal. i'm listening to this track called saeed on my headphones and there's a huge drum solo, as in hand/wooden drums, that keeps bouncing from right ear to left ear at like a 1/16th ryhthm. it's making my head spin.

as far as their old albums go, it's like classical mushroom X vicious delicious

i'd definitely recommend a download...probably not a purchase though.

okay album finished. 6.5/10

i had to knock it down because they tried to do a cover of riders on the storm and totally fucked it up. WTF is that shit lol. the doors on an infected mushroom cd..

For real dude? Infected mushroom remixed an albums worth of doors songs and did an awesome job with it. I believe it was unreleased though because of legal issues. Let me see if I can find a torrent for you.

They played a few Doors covers when I saw them in Chicago a year ago.

As for this new album, it isn't that great. Sounds like generic Mushroom. I'll give it another listen tomorrow, but nothing on the album has really grabbed me. Too many cheesy vocals, too poppy, not enough psy elements to it.

it's weird to hear the doors like that, and i think the distortion on morrison's voice is annoying. once i got past that i liked it though. i wonder what the doors would have sounded like if they had today's technology back in the 60's?

I'm unsure if i like te album or not.
I've given it a listen about 3 times now, just can't decide really.
It's okay.
Not their best.
They seem to be getting worse as time go's on
