98 chevy malibu!! :)
    #10977860 -

my car is awesome

for the past couple months the dashboard lights had been coming on with warnings about the breaks and id been hearing bad grinding sounds. two roadtrips later the check engine light came on as well.

i kept going though and now all the lights have turned off. the grinding sound in my breaks have stopped, and the car is still going strong!! love my car.. sometimes you dont need to take it in, just push it beyond the limits hehe. my window doesnt roll down without a lot of physical help and the ac shorts, but its still a good ride.

Yes, when I grew up, I wanted to drive nothing else than a 98 Chevy Malibu.  It truly was my dream car. :smirk:

Nah, I know how it is.

I bet in a few months that car wont be so awesome, I can see you rear ending someone when those brakes fail, as it stands you need new pads and now probably new rotors, that check engine light may have just burned out

you should consider maintaining the car if you like the thing

Haha, I find that in general cars don't really fix themselves and if small problems go untreated they turn into big problems and more things start to become damaged. Hope you wear your seatbelt lol

I have put 50,000 miles on my 98 Volkswagen with the "Low Oil Level - Stop Immediately" light on.  The buzzer went off at first as well, but I pulled the fucker out of the dash, or it'd still be warning me of my imminent doom.

They don't call them idiot lights for nothing.
