ear piercings/gauging

i got my ear pierced today, 6 weeks i can change earings, and 6 months i can take them out for a couple days and it wont grow back that fast. but does anyone know when i could gauge them? and how to gauge them?

You can start gauging after a month and go down each size for about 2 weeks. Some sizes can be skipped. I currently have 9/16ths in my ears, well soon.

i dont want them very big, mabey alittle bigger than the roundness of a pencil.

I pierced my own, and gauged them out to a 10 when I was a teenager. It's by far the lamest thing I've ever done, and I still regret it.:tongue2:

I have large holes in my ears, but do not wear jewelery anymore.

I stretched using tapers starting at 10g but following the needle with an 8g taper, and wore a barbell for 6 weeks probably, and stretched every other month or so. Once you get to larger/heavier jewelery they'll start stretching naturally. Once you have big plugs 00g + you can wrap you plugs in electrical tape to enlarge their size..

Mine started to stretch very fast after 00. i was upto 1 1/8" or just below that, but haven't worn anything for years. Could still fit probably... a 0g in.

Anyways best advice i can offer is: Dont rush! go slow. 1-2 months between every guage (aka 8 to 6, 6 to 4, etc.) is necessary. If you rush you will stress your ears, they will be tender and more prone to blowing out or tearing.

Also, the ability for your ear to close varies from person to person, depending on your skin elascisity. You can't trust someone that says "oh i can stretch to 0g and they'll shrink back" .... i think a 4g is about as big as you can go, if you want them to disappear one day, and even then they'll be visible.

Alot of people who stretched their ears when they were really popular a 5 years ago, or so. Don't want them anymore and it is quite common to get them sewn up.

I find wearing jewellery a hassle and pain.As far as a style, its alright, but wearing a helmet, or swimming, or sleeping, or running or pulling a shirt over your head... its all shit, with big flaps for ears!

keep that shit clean once you start gauging that shit will fucking stink like hell, no joke.  I've never been into piercings but my friends were.
