My friend commited suicide last night

I just heard this and it has really put a dampener on my day. I miss him....he was such a good guy.

whenever i experience the death or near-death of a friend, i'm always profoundly effected by the loss but I always also feel more appreciative of my life

Thanks guys a lot. I really dont know how to interpret this because I have never had a friend commit suicide.

He was in rehab for opiates, maybe H, but he had so much going for him this semester. He was about to graduate from UNC and had a demo tape that was about to get picked up by a producer. I guess he couldn't deal w/ the depression that followed his addiction.

Such a fun loving guy too. He was one of the most happiest people you could meet and knew just about all the people on campus.

I just dont get it.

I kind of know how you feel.
My good friend just attempted suicide two days ago, and wound up breaking her neck.
I've been really down because of it. :sad:

i think i know the guy you're talking about.  i personally didn't know him, but friends of mine did.  i've seen RIP stuff and sad messages all over facebook.  it's fucking terrible when someone so young feels they have no other option.  if he was truly that depressed, hopefully now he's found his peace.

Hearing this kind of stuff strikes a chord with me
My bestfriend lost both his parents before he was 19
he picked me up for class one day and on the ride he told me he was considering suicide
He told me his plan and everything on how he was going to do it

I gave him a few words of advice which I believe helped stop his suicidal tendencies

shortly after he was in a life full of crime, jail, and drugs
He actually was picked up and went back to jail last thursday

Some people just can't control their emotions. Its sad

Again, sorry for your loss

God I remember High School, probably 4 people I knew killed themselves - after the first 2 it was just kind of "meh".

........I had a dream last night about a woman committing suicide. She jumped off a building.

Nooo.... That sucks real harsh, I don't really know what I'd do if one of my friends died :frown: I feel for you man, I know three siblings who all died in a fire a couple of weeks ago who I went to school with, really sucks.

Life is such a profound mystery, what really comes after it, y'know? Maybe it's an alternate reality just like the one we're in now and he's having a fine time. Who knows. Sorry to hear about this.
