I think my comp is dead. Help?

Heres the problem:
Lately my laptop has been giving me trouble. It started freezing more and more frequently, and after restarting, I would get the "blue screen of death" and it would restart all over again.
Normally when I restart, I will get a screen displaying the Toshiba logo and giving me the options of pressing F2 or F12, just before starting up windows.
This time however, the Toshiba screen remained, and windows will not load. I've tried going to the boot menu, and pressing F2, but nothing. It will say "please wait", but will never load. I can't get to safe mode or anything.
Anyone have any idea what is going on?

Option 1:restore ur computer
Option 2:take it to best buy
Option 3:buy a new one

Can you get into the BIOS settings screen?  If not, then you likely have a fried component.

I can't even get into the bios setup. I press the key to get their and then it says "please wait", but never brings it up.

Install any new programs recently to possibly aggravate the condition?

If so, nikkname's option one would work

I installed a program yesterday, could be the issue.
But is there a way to restore the system with being able to get to any menus?

Download a bootable diagnostics disc and pop the HDD out of your laptop THEN try to boot to the disc and diag the system.  If nothing else fails it's probably your HDD.

I've tried everything else, I'll try this now. Thanks for the replies
