What makes a musician good?

Is it simply practice practice practice and an acute awareness/sensitivity to the general feel of the moment and other band members? (when to jam harder or jam softer)

Creativity, interpretation and the capability to convey your feelings through the music you make and flawless playing. That makes a really good musician. That comes down to practice and lots of performing experience.
