A very big hello to everyone on the forum.

Im from South Africa been reading this forum for a very good while, LOL didnt want to ask any questions and get the "Read the FAQ" reply...So yes I have learnt a lot to say the least, and decided its time to contribute back to the forum.

A little bit bout my mushrooms experience: Ive only tried mushrooms twice it was an experience but I would love to experiment some more so Im finally taking the step to start growing my own at home ever since I found out it was not soooo difficult.

Well thats about it abt myself....Looking forward to being part of this community.

It's always great to see more international diversity on the boards!

I've never been to South Africa, but the town I went to high school in had a fairly large population of immigrants.  My neighbors for like 2 years were South Africans.  They had some pretty sweet ass stories.  Showed me pictures of an adolescent lion laying across their couch!!!! :eek:

MY neighbours 5 year ago were from SA and they had the dopest outdoor african weed i ever smoked - they had a whole  huge lunch box of it ... on tap

South Africa is an awesome place to say the least, a lot of changes taking place whilst we are prepping for the 2010 world cup, a lot of American tourists are here you guys better come down here for a visit can fix you guys a really good trip, but wait till I grow them!! ;b

I live in Pretoria the main capital, Johannesburg is one big place you will easily get lost there and its also rated the crime capital of the world, but its not as bad as portrayed in the media, you just have to be aware of those around you and know what places to go and where to stay away from.

Then we got cape town which is a really beautiful city, cape point is the last and furthest point in the world. A lot of celebrities go there, its more posh and the standard of living their is a bit higher than this side of the country.

As for mushrooms, quality ones are actually not easy to come by Im thinking of ordering spores from some one on this forum but everything else is easy to get hold of.

Talking about drugs it was reported on TV the other day that SA has the biggest drug problem in the world and the government and cops are busy trying to crack down on smugglers before 2010. South Africa is supposed to be the most the worlds drop off point for drugs, and believe me when I say a drug problem we got a HUUUGE problem in this country 1 in 7 people here are battling addiction as reported the other.

Ive had my experiences with LSD but when I tried those mushrooms I was blown away and attempts to find more were unsuccessful so I want to grow my own.

A very good idea, to grow your own. All the techniques are here onsite, and you might swap spores for something with someone. A sporeprint on a piece of paper in a letter shoots right through the mail. I wouldnt import a syringe though, that looks weird in the mail and South Africa has experience with very rigid mail screening.

Study, learn, grow your own mushrooms and just as importantly teach local friends how to grow them. The continent of Africa is next to invisible in the world psychedelic community, spreading spores and growing techniques in South Africa would be good for the movement.

Fly under the radar, I don't think the SAP would be pleasant to deal with.

What the psychedelic movement needs is people all over the world growing mushrooms, plants and psychedelic cacti. When people grow it everywhere, swapping entheogenic genetics and techniques, we form a worldwide network that simply cannot be defeated.

Do you know about Trichocereus cacti, and DMT herbs?

Im from SA as well, Free State to be exact. I am desperate for some spores to start growing my own. And as soon as I get started I was thinking of spreading the wealth if you know what I mean. Spores are not illegal in SA so why not??

Friend had a good connect for Durban Poison back in the 90s when I lived in Long Beach.  I haven't seen that strain since then.  It's sad really, living in a medicinal state and you can't get all the different strains you want.  Seems like there is a greater demand, or at least that is what the growers want us to believe, for all the newer medicinal crosses and breeds.

Personally I would like to sample something besides Northern Lights and Skunk that is older than 12 years.
