I hate Sotomayor

stupid racist bitch her life story is weak shit she really is not qualified in my eyes
when they were making arguments for electing her they talked about "hardships"
that seemed very normal to me
like working with a broken leg or with diabetes
very little is said about her legal knowledge
i fucking hate our government they judge character or abilities at all

From what I understand, she's very middle-of-the-road.  I think this might actually be a step back for liberals.

I dont know much about her, but shes a member of La Raza a disgusting racist organization.  I dont know why hispanic racism is so accepted in our society... Oh well, now we have KKK members in the legislator, Black Panther members in the executive and now La Raza in the Judicial.  Its a cornucopia of hate.

I don't think La Raza Unida is a racist organization. It was created as a political party to help hispanics establish a separate racial identity from whites. Up until the 1960's, they were considered racially white but still treated as second class citizens. For this reason, the group's rhetoric is racially charged and they sometimes seem strangely devoted to establishing a separate racial identity from whites; if you know the history of the movement it is not so disturbing.

I wouldn't say she isn't qualified, but I highly disagree with her positions on most things, and she has made some very questionable comments.

That's a common misconception. History is actually one of the most difficult liberal arts majors, which is why ivy league law schools (where sotomayor went) farm history majors like crazy. History teaches systematic thinking, philosophy, and excellent writing skills, as well as intensive research training.

I wouldn't expect you to know that though, coaster. What did you major in, stringing together beads while you're high on amphetamines?
