I was buying a hotel-room for me and the girlfriend for a trip we're taking for my birthday.

I paid like $300 bucks for a couple of nights, non-refundable, and then realized I had booked for the wrong month.

Travelocity let me refund them anyway.  Nice peoples.

It turned out well, cause I got a ticket for the local show for only $25.  For some reason a ton of sites were selling 'em for $75, but the actual venue sold 'em at the price I had expected. :laugh:  So at worst it's a $50 investment for a great show!
