Is this Amanita Pantherina?

Hi. I'm new to this forum and to mushrooms in general.

I found some mushrooms in the forest, and I think they are Amanita Pantherina, but I'm not completely sure.

Here's a picture:



I took several pictures of the mushrooms when I picked them with the stem and everything (the stem had that small skirt-like thingy like other amanitas), but unfortunately all of them are too blurry (phone camera). So this is all I have to show. The gills are white in color. I'm trying to make a spore print right now, but this is the first time I do this and I'm not sure what results I'll get.

In all the pictures of Amanita Pantherina that I see on the web, the warts on the cap are white, whereas the warts on my caps are all brownish; also, in the pictures the stem of Amanita Patherina is white, while from what I remember the stem of my mushrooms had a slight pinkish hue.

PS: I don't intend to eat them.

I should mention if your in the USA its Amanita amerirubescens, Amanita rubescens is a European species.

Sorry, I forgot to mention: I'm from eastern Europe, temperate climate zone (45 deg N lat). I found the mushrooms in a deciduous forest (don't know exactly what type of trees though).

It would really help to have some pics of the stem, its really hard to ID Amanitas by just looking at the cap.

The caps do look very similar to Amanita pantherina, however if the stems were reddish then its likely that you have Amanita rubescens.  The European Amanita rubescens has a hemolytic toxin that breaks down when cooked, its unknown if the US material also contains it.

Especially the base of the stem is important to photograph - A. rubescens has a smooth, slightly enlarged base while A. pantherina has a collar-like ring around the bulge at the base of the stem.

Yes, the stem was smooth, and slightly more reddish and enlarged towards the base. I found a picture of Amanita Rubescens which looks exactly like the mushrooms I found:
