When you first lost your virginity,

how long were you dating/seeing the girl/guy until you guys actually had sex?  I'm late on the game and don't want to move too fast, yet I don't want to move too slow either (because I feel like I'd be the one that has to make all the moves)

Some girls are up front about what they want I guess.

EDIT: To OP, I originally thought that having sex first involved a lot of work, perhaps weeks, months of dating until I started dating people and it occured within a week or so. Very odd.
