why steroids?

Ill be going to the dermatologist for my chronic eczema. ive got it on the back of my head, and am pretty sure its infected with staff. its leaking a yellow substance like crazy. anyways last time I went to the dermatologist she gave me asteroid cream, wich helped to clear up small patches of eczema. But ive got it all over my body, she also suggested steroid shots. wich I refuse to do. is there a reason why steroids are the main factor in treating eczema? is it just what doctors do, or is there alternatives such as natrual treatments etc.?

Don't let the steroid stigma stop you from treatment. You don't even know what steroids are by the sound of it.

lol, steroids.  Hydrocortisone is a steroid, and odds are whatever you're putting on your eczema is similar if not that.  If they were to do systemic though, odds are it would be some sort of prednisoan.  Don't worry, your balls will stay the same size and with proper dosing you'll have no issues with any glands or anything.  If anything you'll feel great.  Less inflammation, greater cell space, etc.  No, you will not get jacked.

Yeah, you seem to be so against steroids, they are not that harmful and they will help you when you NEED them. They will not ruin your body and in times of need they help

Glucocorticosteroids are completely different in action from Anabolic Androgenic Steroids.

Sugar is an alcohol. That doesnt mean eating a candybar will get you drunk.

Because that particular group of steroids is the body's natural defense against eczema?

Taking hydrocortisone is way more natural than applying some herb.
