Something you can do to help the Iranian people:
    #10553186 -

Sent to me on Facebook. While I usually scoff at slacktivism this seems to make sense:

Something YOU can try to help the Iranian people: If you have a Twitter account, set your location to Tehran and your time zone to GMT +3.30. Security forces are hunting for bloggers using location/timezone searches. The more people at this location, the more of a logjam it creates for forces trying to shut Iranians' access to the internet down. Cut, paste and please pass it on.

All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

It's Jason Pierce from the band Spiritualized, that's the cover to their incredible album, "Ladies and Gentleman...We are Floating in Space."
