I came across Springerlink while I was looking for info on mycena chlorophos, and had a squiz for both fungi and mushroom results too. I got over 2,000 for mushroom, some of which will obviously be useless.

Nevertheless, there is a shitload of info there that is mostly freely available as PDF, and might be an interesting read for more advanced mycologists, as well as those interested in bioluminescent fungi/foxfire.

Hey,

Im glad you found it!  There are many more databases worth searching too.  However, the PDFs are not free.  They cost from $15 to more than $30 a piece.  The abstracts are on occasion free as a PDF and there are some free papers as PDF but very few.

I have access to any article in their database, and many other academia databases for free...and so do you if you live near a large University.  I have been able visit any campus library in every University I have ever visited (not attended per say) and download the PDFs for free using the Universities subscriptions. 

But note that there is much valuable info not online, only in book form.  A stroll through a zoology/botany/biology library should provide *much* studies on fungi.  I have had most luck in zoology and biology libraries...just call the main library and ask them.

I'm stoked to see you are doing research!  And that you found Springerlink.
