Errr Nightvision is expensive. Night Goggles are 2000$+. You can get camcorders with night vision and nightvision plus but there not that clear and I think you would still have a fairly hard time finding them.

I took a night vision machine with me once on a run and it was horrible. it was all green. you could see all across the field but see a little cubie, nope. it was too cumbersome to carry also. just go with the tried and true flashlight.

Im not sure but would think it somehow filters out certain light rays like you can do in photoshop

Im not totally sure, so dont think im dissin ya or anything :smile:, but II dont think night vision has much to do with heat. But of course i really have no clue how they work anyway. Get some infrareds :smile: hehe.... do mushrooms emit heat? that would be awesome, wear some infrareds, youd be able to find them easy then (if they emit heat, wich i dont think they do)

You're right. They are sensitive to light from infra red part of spectre. Night vision cameras have also an IR light. Mushrooms don't emmit heat and they would be visible only if they reflect/absorb IR light differently then surroundings.
