telescopes

im looking for a telescope i can see planets and stuff with. i mean like able to see details of the planets. is there such thing as a hand telescope that can do that? I dont have a very high budget, so if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be cool  :sirius:

Nope, you wouldnt be able to keep a hand held one steady enough.

Viewing planets is a pain in the ass anyway, they move out of the way to fast.

I have a shittie, 20 year old 4 inch reflector.  Even so, I can see the rings of Saturn (but not the gap) and two cloud bands on Jupiter.  The moon is awesome, since its close you can see alot of detail in the shadows.

I would suggest a 4-6 inch reflector.

Telescopes cost a lot man.

www.telescopes.com sells a lot of different ones. You should check out the site to get an idea of prices.
