The soundtrack to The Doors movie is pretty good (if you like The Doors that is).

Also, Forrest Gump and Pulp Fiction.

It really surprised me how good that soundtrack was, and the movie was pretty hilarious.

Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai. Soundtrack by RZA. Lots of excellent instrumental hip-hopness (if you're into that kind of thing at all).

Here is a taste:

An anti-social drug dealer.
A perfect movie about teenage angst and depression.

Tragic. Beautiful. Funny.

No, they didn't pay me to say that

One of my favorites is the Oh Brother! Where art Thou? soundtrack. It's got a lot of good old-timey stuff.

Last of the Mohicans soundtrack is cool IMO.

And don't forget about Fight Club. I can watch that movie in my head with just the soundtrack.

edit: And Virgin Suicides. Air rocks!

The bass touches my soul. Truly amazing music.

The OC (tv show), believe it or not has REALLY great soundtracks. I think there's about 6 volumes of them. The show is certifiably retarded but always had great music. I recommend checking them out.
