How about when a suicide announcement is made, the thread is locked by an admin with mention of the users IP and personal data, so that help can be sent on their way by any of the members?


The suicide thread was a hoax and it was fucked up. I seriously worried about that shit, and a few others with me.

People here DIE OK? Every year theres a suicide, some OD's and the odd act of God. Shit aint funny. This is the last place to hoax a suicide because many members here have posted with folks who are no longer with us.

Besides, even a hoax suicide can cast very bad light on this website. Some media or popular blogger can take screenshots and go:  "see people kill themselves there and others cheer them on"

Some of the reactions before it was known were pretty damn heartless.


No suicide hoaxes plz. We mods have to take that stuff seriously just like the police has to take any and all bomb threats serious. Shit aint funny.

I was concerned too. HE wrote it like a guy who committed suicide that I knew would have. He was just at peace with things. We need to do what we can to discourage that type of behavior.

I've had to many friends kill themselves in real life...

knew a few that I never met that did it over the internet too, personelly I think the people threatening suicide should be arrested and charged.

Until someone comes up to you and says "Man, I see you all the time on the bus, but I never know what to say" and then you find out a week later he's dead...fuck

I have to live with this shit everyday, people on here need to grow the fuck up

because I doubt the attention whores threatening suicide have any comprehension about that guilt you shouldn't have but is always there that you could have helped instead of down playing it.
