You'll be fine by yourself. I went to the Dead in B-lo by myself and had a ball. Met lots of nice people!

i never been to a jam show before,

you think i'd be bored if I went alone? nobody and i mean nobody I know likes the same music I do, I don't really wanna go see Disturbed live or Snoop Dogg live if you know what I mean

Probably not. If you go there for the music then there shouldn't be a problem. I've been going to see a lot of music on a whim and I usually just meet people there or are too busy dancing and waiting in the line to use the restroom.

And DSO is good? I'll check out that show you recommended. They seemed okay and actually had a few highlights (their Greatest Story Ever Told was amazing) but a lot of it was kind of soulless in a way. I heard a critique about how they play a whole show note for note with only a couple of their own things thrown in and it seemed kind of true. But yeah I'll check them out.

I'm listening to the 4-28 Dead show right now and it's okay. Though I was especially disappointed with where Turn on Your Lovelight went. They should either forget about Hayes doing PigPen stuff and focus on the instruments, or have PigPen's voice dubbed in really muffled and Hayes can pretend he's imitating him.

Man I miss Pigpen so damn much. He has one of the most wild and sexy/sleaziest voices I've ever heard.

I saw 'em last year after gobbling down a couple hits and my mind was pleasantly blown. Derek Trucks is an incredible musician.

They're really good live, definitely worth it.
