Yup, I'm a old timer (by shroomery standards anyway) and grew up listining to them since the late 70's. They played with Zeppelin at my first concert.  :thumbup:

The Allman Brothers are playing here in a couple weeks. You can still catch a couple of good old bands live.

Greg Allman is a Narc. After he got busted way back, he narced out his manager, as I recall. He could not hold a candle to his Bro Dwayne, or Dickie Betts, who wrote a lot of their songs. Now all the songs that Betts wrote cannot be played by the Allman Brothers that exist today. Greg was married to Cher, for about 6 months, and he was always so fucked up, he couldn't talk or sing worth a shit. I wasted money on a ticket to a Allman Brothers concert way back when, after half the band had died and Greg was worthless, practicaly fell off the stage. Only the early Allmans were great. Listen to "Eat a Peach", and "Live at Filmore East". Unbelievable albums

I got to meet someone from it when I was real young. I forgot who but he was hanging out with someone I know personaly from the Marshal Tucker Band.
