Leg...infections?

Every now and then, I get what appear to be infected hair follicles or something on my legs.  I've had two on my right quad and now one on my left.  They're like painful sowllen little pimples, no more than a half inch in diameter.  I've taken antibiotics for one of them and one just went away on its own, now i'm using some left over antibiotics to nip this one in the bud.  I haven't noticed anything bad from them but its just a little weird...any suggestions?

Don't take antibiotics for ingrown hairs, in fact don't take them at all.  Replace the bacteria to your stomach that you have killed with antibiotics.  Eat well to improve your immune system.  You can try to pop the pimples to get the ingrown hair out or just leave them, but unless you have a serious infection don't touch antibiotics.  Rub coconut on your skin, it has an antibiotic effect and will moisturize.

There is no such thing as leftover antibiotics.  :mad:

Please, for the rest of us that would rather not have to deal with antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria... when you get prescribed antibiotics, take all of them according to the directions, until they are gone, even if you feel better after a few days.

Take all your antibiotics, it's bad if you don't. Anyway, has this happened all your life or started occurring recently? Sounds like folliculitis, sometimes people have this due to autoimmune disorders, allergies to creams or even detergent, strange anatomic quirks that prone one to infection, or unknown reasons (idiopathic).
