Split pea soup with rice, veggies and meatballs.

Dirt cheap, very easy, very nutritious, very tasty.

You toss it all into one soup kettle and by the time the peas are done, all is done.

3oz split peas
3oz rice
3oz meat loaf (as spiced balls)
3oz soup veggies
1 broth cube
1.5 pint water

Thats a meal bitch

I like split-pea soup the next day.

When it is super-thick.

been in your spot before man.  rice is cheap but empty calories.  beans are the way to go, usually pinto.  always buy raw ingredients because you'll save money that way.  went a whole summer eating not much more than rice.

10 dollars worth of food could last two weeks. Buy a watermelon, a 5-pack of chicken thighs. This thread really proves how much excess we have in this country.

Ideally you combine rice/pasta with beans/peas so that the deficiencies of each protein is cancelled out by the other.

Though that definitely is interesting to know, #1 blows $7 on a meal for crying out loud. Its fucking UNETHICAL that he goes to a food bank and steals food off the genuinely poor, just because hes too proud to ask daddy for cash.

$7 thats a week's worth of split pea soup dinners.

Some food banks require low income verification or a type of 'poverty' status by the local DES.  But others you can walk in and just tell them you are hungry and they will give you food.

Soup kitchens will usually give anyone food for free, but its one hot meal at a time of course.  However, the soup kitchen I went to had a sort of dried split pea soup and the like for sale in big, bulk amounts for very cheap.

I'm gonna live off of spaghetti and raw vegetables/fruits...for the rest of the week.

when may 5th comes around...I'm taking a fast.

anyways...I'm not gonna go to the food bank. but according to law...i qualify for $176 a month for up to 3 months, possibly longer. I've paid taxes....why would it be unethical for me to claim it back? dog eats dog.

yeah the $7 meal was a bit extravagant...especially since i went next door afterwords and bought a $3.75 cafe mocha and proceeded to sit and drink and smoke cigarettes in the nice weather.

it was worth it though, just for the sake of my mental health. ironically...soon after coming back home after the short ride on my motorcycle(that gets over 50mpg) it started to hail.

What a douche you are.  First you complain about having to eat condiments for nourishment - now you justify a $7 wrap and a $3.75 cafe mocha for your 'mental health'.

You are a pathetic rich kid still sucking on your parents teat, with no perspective or clue on what real life is like for people.
