Thats the thing though...i bought it to bash.  I can afford it...just not the rest of my hobbies at the same time.  So i had to cut one loose...and i will be damned if im gonna stop tolkin.


Savage has come out with so many models now its rediculous.  I researched a year before i got my savage and as soon as i get it a million other models come out.  Including trucks that fit my driving style better.

O well maybe in my later years i will get back into it..but right now its just not gonna happen.

Stoned nitro r/c is kick ass...

There's a lot of r/c cars out now. Hpi hasn't released that many new models. They have the savage X and the Savage XL.

They've released a couple truggies I think.

I'm deciding now what I should get next a nitro helicopter which costs 4000$ but would sit in the box for a while while I fly the starter chopper and use the computer flight sim OR get a 5900$ Norco mountain bike which I could ride right now over snow jumps and dirt and all. Could ride it year round and I'm already a mountain biker. I'm not an r/c chopper pilot yet.

Hmmm decisions decisions! I might get both but I think I'll just wait for my chopper and get a gasoline baha truck from HPI.

I was talking about the truggies...thats what i originally wanted but none of the good companys had any ones out.  Except for tmaxx....gross.  So i got the savage...BUT it doesnt matter becuase i think i was a little in over my head when i tried to start the hobby at sixteen.

I was like 12 when I started. I got my first nitro truck at that age. Savage 25.

Built my first kit when I was 14 :shrug:

You don't need to be an adult for these cars.

A lot of companies now have amazing truggies. Truggies are fucking bad ass. Their like monster trucks but more race ready out of the box since they have a lower ground clearance they won't roll and they handle better then a monster truck. Their also built very strong like MT's.

I hope you get back into this hobby, tons of new things have come out since you left it.

TOO YOUNG? are you kidding? i managed an RC shop at sixteen....lol

uggggg gotta wait for next paycheck so i can get a new remote/reciever
servo battery pack and a new chassis and heat sink

gunna have to make a custom fucking chassis cus i dont think ima find one for my kyosho unless i can find a newer model version that will fit

Well...the real problem i had is the discouragement i felt.  I replaced the one way bearing two times, i replaced the clutch and spur gear.  My engine was never tuned right becuase right whe i got my truck my borther thought it would be funny to screw one of my screws(dont remeber how the carb screw system worked) till it stopped spinning...well he stripped the the threads on it and it never worked right.  (this was of course combined with my inexperience)

I also put a hole in my gas tank twice...i got a guard for it and it didnt guard the right part...

after a while it was just like i cant keep doing this i have more important things to do...and thats where it ended.. I will get back into the hobbie.  I just need some time.

You could have just gotten a new carb.

There's the idle screw, high speed (:twitchy:) needle and low end needle on the engines. Could hjave been either one of those 3.

When you got the truck did you break in the engine properly? I was tuning engines and adjusting transmissions at 14 dude, age doesn't really have anything to do with it.

How you got a hole in you're tank is beyond me but it's like a 8$ piece.
