I went and buy some new parts though but the steering knuckle had to be ordered, I also picked up a new shock set for my Savage. Threaded adjustable aluminum shocks.

These cars are tough. I've had them in some pretty bad accidents before with little to no major damage. I think the shock tower is designed to break so that your chassis doesn't.

I've always wanted to fly choppers.

Probably not going to happen for a LONG time, if not ever.

Going to shell out at some point for a really nice r/c copter, maybe a $300 first to learn the gist then get one of those MASSIVE custom Apaches for like $2000 :cool:

I have a 350$ starter one. It's a hobby grade chopper and it's electric. It really gives you a feel for it. Ive flown a nitro one before, they kick ass and I weant one! I learned to fly from my small one and practiced on a simulator for a nitro one.

Apaches are bad ass that's why you like them! I'm a fan of the super cobra. I wish they would have continued with the Commanche helicopter,.

I used to have a gas powdered BMW i got all tweeked out when i was in like 6th and 7th grade. I would race cars down the street and weave around them...lol oh memories :smirk:

Any idea of how much that would cost? I am unemployed and cutting back on spending. I've seen videos of those things flying to the point where the suspension needed to be dampened and people would shatter the chassis. Mine is mostly stock except for a decent battery.

But I think I should bust it out anyway. My cat and my bro's dog enjoy that thing more than I do.

electic rc's can fly pretty good to if you get upgraded motors and batterys.  there cheaper, cleaner, and easier to setup

Not off the top of my head but it wouldn't be expensive. They sell the mamba brushless motor +esc system together then you'd need a lipo battery for best performance.

I'm looking for a battery powered car that has wheels bigger than the body so that it can flip over and still drive fine.  I've looked through ebay but couldn't find any like that.  I want it so that I can use it in the skate park.  It would need to be able to take a bash.  Any ideas of any manufactures that make an RC car like this HPI?

Buy a hobby grade electric one and it'll be able to take a bash.

They have the E savage which WILL take a bashing. I drive mine at the skate park and drive it off jumps and ramps.

Hpi i have a question i used to have a gas powered on back in the day whats the advantage of battery to gas and visa versa.  I havent done anything with R/Cs in YEARS but back in the day i heard gas was the only way to go, however you seem to be pretty into this but have electric cars.

You had Gas or Nitro?

Advantages of electric is that their cheaper and easier to maintain, much cleaner and they make no noise so you can drive it at 7am or 3am if you want.

Nitro uses engines and fuel and gets very dirty but that's the fun it it. Their more realistic. They've got vented disk brakes, pipes etc. The smoke and noise and all is what makes Nitro amazing.

I don't have electric cars?

Dude why wouldn;t you be able to drie these on the street? It's just a radio control car. No need for any license or anything. Just drive it but not early in the morning or late at night cause they do make noise. I drive the truck on my street all the time, once it shifts into 3rd gear it's fucking gone!

prolly cuss it would interfer with traffic causing people to swerve, and a potential threat to pedoestrians.  if one of these things hit someone at even half speed your talking broken bones or at the least a major cut

You don't drive it on the street where's there's traffic. I drive it on my street but it's quiet where I live.

MAN...you fuckers made me miss my savage.  I had the 2nd gen with the .25 motor in it.  It was so much fun, but to much of a money pit so i sold it.

I had the savage 25 but one day I was at our country house with my dad ,as he was coming towards me I was turning my truck back to come towards me and the battery in the truck was running low leading to the steering servo not responding as well. It made a wide turn and as it was coming  back my way my did front tire clipped my truck in the back and took off the rear end up to the header.

I was driving back slow cause I didn't want a run away truck if the battery died completely. I hadn't installed my failsafe at the time but there was over 1200$ worth of aluminum and carbon fiber on that truck.

When I got back home I went straight to the hobby store and bought the TNX and the NTC3 car.


I tuned the engine and adjusted the 3 speed transmissions shift points. I was doing some high speed runs before, once that truck shift into 3rd gear it's fucking gone!

Fuck yeah, Kyosho buggies are sweet. My hobby shop asked me to race one for them so I did and the buggy did amazing.

Came in 2nd that day :laugh:

It's not really an expensive hobby. If you just drive it normally nothings gonna start breaking but if you race and bash it like crazy then parts can start breaking. I used to destroy my savage then it actually got destroyed :lol:
