I rock electric, but I play bass.

Acoustic bass guitars are too quiet, and you can't exactly push the funk meters to overload on one.

I probably prefer acoustic, both listening and playing, but only slightly.

I like the versatility of an electric, but the sound of an acoustic.

Acoustic sounds great but I'd take electric anyday.

Get a few pedals for it and you can create a 100 different sounds.

Electrics are easier to play too.

Guitars:  I prefer acoustic, because of the "sensual" nature of it.

Mandolin:  I prefer my electric - it's more fun and versatile.  Plus its a 5-string (extra low C) which gives it a little more range. :thumbup:

i like acoustic because its soft and it sounds clearer when i play.

but i also like electric because you can turn on distortion and rock out!

Upright's have a sweet sound to 'em, but it's not really my style.  I wasn't saying you can't make 'em sound good, you just can't make a funkadelic jamboree on one.
