Small, decently lightweight, portable generators???
    #10083731 -

anyone know of any?
im lookin on google but the results suck.  they are showing couple hundred pound generators on wheels.  im lookin for something thats realy portable.  something i can travel with without a car.  anyone know much about generators.  i found a few that look small enough and have good reviews, but of course it doesnt mention the weight...most important part for me, and all the reviews are from people with cars and shit so, portable to them just means fits in the car.  so yea, anyone know of anything good?

right on...but DOH!  that shit is expensive.  their smalles one is like 800 bux.  i saw some online that were like less than 200
but i cant figure out how much they weigh
imnot tryin to spend any more than 300 for em so, those hondas are out
im lookin to become a traveling sideshow what with music, lightshows, whatever.
ive done a shitload of traveling in my time.  lived in the woods for a while.  and i usualy have speakers and music and its realy cool cause when i show up kids are like, fuck yea dude!  we got tunes.  i mean theres always usualy a guitar and drums but who doesnt wana just rock out to some classic tunes once in a while.
so i was thinkin of getin a portable speaker system....but if i could get a nice portable generator, i could get a lightweight PA system like the one i was lookin at the other day and realy fuckin rock out.  and just have to buy some gas.  as for carrying it around i would just get some of those wheel thingys.  u know, the frames that are on wheels that can carry shit.  i dont know...just a lil thought ive been havin.  but yea, id love to show up to the redwoods againin arcata bumpin some mad loud tunes and have something that can charge traveling kids shit if they  have it.  bein deep in the woods and be able to power all kinds of shit would be dope as fuck!  i could have a traveling lightshow too if i get a projector!  fuck ya man!  so yea, hopefulyt i find something affordable and lightweight enough to travel around with.  i been thinkin of getina bike with a trailer too.

Both the EU1000 and the EU2000 from Honda are awesome generators.  Very quiet. And as long as you keep oil in them, they will run for a long long time.

Not as expensive as the Hondas, Might still be out of your price range.  For $300, you may have to look for a used generator, if you're looking for a small lightweight portable one.  On the same site as the link below, they also have a brand new 2 stroke generator for $150, but I don't know how reliable a 2 stroke gen is going to be.

I didn't see this one the first time I looked....this one is $329.  I didn't see a weight, but it looks carryable.

a 2 stroke would be a real stinker .......kill you and the mosqitoes:grin: and they are usually louder than a 4 stroke.
