Transporting pot in a car... Brainstorm contraptions

I don't know about you guys, but I get paranoid as FUCK when I have pot in my car. I can't even count how many people I know who have been arrested for possession because their car got searched (most denied search but it happened anyway). Granted about half of them were doing stupid shit like smoking while driving... Still it's a huge risk to drive around with pot in your car regardless.

Me and a buddy/old boss were sitting around his coral and fish import business getting stoned and looking at coral when we got on the topic of a "dog proof" transport container. What we came up with was this:

5 inch length of 1-2 inch diameter PVC pipe
2 endcaps
PVC glue

What we did was we glued one end cap on and used the other side to load bud. Then we capped it off with the loose endcap and wiped it down with denatured alcohol to remove any oils.

It seems excessive, but when you have a lot on the line(like a future career) stuff like that becomes necessary, especially with Georgia cops.


What other "dog proof" transport devices can you stoner's come up with?

Vacuum sealed bag wiped down with Iso or denatured alcohol.

That's all you need dude. No need to over engineer things. Since the majority of what a dog smells is going to be transfer (touching a sealed bag with dirty hands), all you need to do is seal it up and wash it down.

No need to make it complicated.

Besides, the smell on you, your clothes or anything you've touched in the past few hours after smoking or handling weed is probably enough to give you away.

How much weed are we talking ? Are you saying transporting large amounts for other reasons besides your personal stash? If it is only personal...I always only carry a half eighth to an eigth on me and leave the rest at home. that way if you get caught and it's not that much they will prob. just take it or just tell you not to get caught or do it again...as far as hiding it goes it is always in my purse or the center console. i don't really feel paranoid but it might be because i live in california, for some reason i thought you did too but guess i was wrong!  probably half the times i get pulled over i have been high and they don't ever say anything . i always feel like they can smell it too.... good luck with that. the guy above mes idea sounds good.

well if ur gonna say no i won't let u search me, then they'll get the dogs

what I do if I have a little nug to bring on a drive somewhere, I get a toiletry bag and some changing clothes, and put my potnoos in my deodorant stick : Simply screw the deo stick til it pops out all the way, pull it off, put ur nug (in plastic) down there, and screw the deo back on

Other steps, shampoo is solid, no one wants to deal with that gooey pooey stuff and dogs can't even smell through it

Build a compartment that isn't in your car, but rather hangs under your car in a little box you can easily access open and securely close

Have a mechanic/friend build a compartment on the inside of your car that only you know to access.

Buy the fake Coca Cola cans that are actually containers, go to your local super market, buy a 6 pack of coca cola, get some twinkies and other foods that never go bad cus they're stuffed with preservatives and always keep it in the trunk of your car like you just went grocery shopping.

There is this stuff called apple bitter spray, dogs cant stand it. Just spray your bag down with and the dog wont go near it.;)

haha this thread got me curious so i googled it . this was the first result it's kind of funny. here

this part seemed like a good idea "· Local pet stores sell pet-deodorizer very cheap. It would be a good idea to have something odorless like this, instead of the strong, noticeable scent of something like febreze, which cops will smell as soon as they approach the vehicle. I stopped there because it's complete bullshit. Read the DEA Micrograms, dogs have been able to find packages of bud in fucking diesel fuel tanks. A little shampoo ain't going to stop them.

Spreading stuff like that is just going to get more people caught, so please don't put in your little untested tips and tricks until you know what the hell you are talking about.

i know some fucked up stories of kids getting away with crazy shit because they have a fraternal order of police license plate (eg, one of their parents or siblings or whatever is a cop).

its bitter apple. i used to have it for my dog. whenever she would be bad id pull it out. after spraying her a couple times i wouldnt even hafta spray it anymore, pulling it out was enough to have her go running away.

Once Johnny Law is in your face, you lose. Even if you get away clean, you still lost. Avoiding the situation is the only secret that works.

i live in a state where pot is decriminalized, so i never worry, but i suggest burying your stash underground and when you drive, just take 1 joint with you and just break it up into little pieces and swallow  :bigjoint:

Generally I don't worry to much, because the fine in california is $100.. if they catch and decide to do anything. Other than that if I were to leave this wonderful state I would vaccuum seal less than oz and have a special compartment in the inner workings of my seat belt.. I was recently in an accident and my seatbelts had to be replaced. I learned how to take the whole side panel off of my car fairly quickly, there is alot of room. 

Another thing you can do if you have a vacuum sealer and you are transporting across state lines is to put the weed (less than 28.5 g for your own sake) in a quart of cheap Oops paint they sell at paint stores and drop a weight on top of it so it sinks. I would love to see a cop dip his baton in bright pink paint. Then you can put the paint with a bunch of a other garage tools or painting supplies.

The only problem I see with the paint, is that you have to get it out yourself, and if by the slightest chance the paint got into the bud, I would NOT smoke that.

I have a secret compartment in my car I made myself. I got a ford truck where the back seats are suppose to be permenant, but I took them off, cut a hole and screwed the hole back, but you can't tell there are screws. I vacuum seal the bud twice and just clean it off with iso alcohol and I put the seats back. I've had the dogs search me twice, and both times they didn't find anything. I only do that if I'm carrying a lot of bud though and I am going somewhere, normally I never go anywhere and I just bring a already rolled joint and just smoke that and have no other bud/ paraphernalia in the car. Works like a charm. :gethigh:

My friend that majored in Polymer Science claims vacuum sealing isn't good enough to conceal the smell.  He says plastic is porous and vapors still leak from these pores and dogs will hit on that.  I always thought if it was vacuum sealed the inside of the bag has that negative pressure so nothing would be compelled to be released from the pores (does that make sense?).  If someone with a chemistry/sciences background could comment on this that would be cool.  Its something I've been wondering for a while now.
