Phish has announced the release of a new album titled Round Room, which is due out December 10 on Elektra Records. The CD is comprised of 12 tracks recorded over four days in October by producer Bryce Goggin at Trey Anastasio?s Vermont barn. The disc includes ?Pebbles and Marbles," ?Thunderhead? and "Waves," which Anastasio has performed with his solo band over the last year, as well as nine brand new songs. ?I thought ['Pebbles and Marbles'] sounded like a Phish song when I wrote it,? Anastasio said this past June after its debut. ?It sort of has that ?Squirming Coil? type of feel, the way it moves through all the different sections.?
Phish also plans to tour heavily in 2003. Look for a string of national dates beginning in mid-February to be announced in the coming weeks.
Round Room can be pre-ordered through www.phish.com.

I'm still wondering if all this hype is good or bad, it could bring a load of great energy to the shows but I'm having doubts about its possible positive effects, I guess we'll see. I'm just glad they are planing a heavy tour, I can't wait, I missed out on the NYE and Hampton shows.

Did you catch Trey's preformance on (I think late show, maybe letterman) he played Pebbles and Marbles? This was several months ago. You mentioned his solo album before Adom, what is that title? I saw him solo on two occasions. Well, not really solo, he had a bunch of horns, sax, tuba, etc with him.

Trey's album is self titled "Trey Anastasio" as far as I know, there is nothing else on the album cover, unless its called "Alive Again" I'm pretty sure its self titled.
I've seen Trey play his song Alive Again on one of the late night shows last summer sometime and I wasn't aware of any other performances so I didn't see them.

Damn thats a tough question, I'm not so sure what would be the best introduction. I would have to recommend "You Enjoy Myself" first and foremost, this song seems to be the most important to the band. Heres some other classic Phish tunes worth checking out-
Chalkdust Torture Tweezer Run Like An Antelope Fluffhead Maze Simple Gumbo Stash Punch You in the Eye First Tube Tube Suzy Greenburg
Fun Covers-
2001 Jesus Just Left Chicago Loving Cup Boogie On Reggea Women When the Circus Comes
I'll be interested to know what you think! I know alot of the older heads don't care for it so much.

There are so many good tunes, Divided Sky is my favorite though. Oysterhead is a good album, nice mix of bands and talents.

More on the upcoming album- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What started as rehearsals for the upcoming Phish New Year's shows quickly progressed into a full-blown recording session, the results of which are distilled onto a new studio release, Round Room, due out Dec. 10 on Elektra Records. Recorded in four days in October by producer Bryce Goggin, the album ripples with raw, vital energy and features a healthy dose of the band's trademark improvisational style. In total, the album's twelve tracks clock in at over seventy minutes.
In addition to their sold-out New Year's shows, Phish will hit the road several times in 2003, including a run of dates in the second half of February that spans both coasts - details to follow in the coming weeks.
Track Listing:
1. Pebbles and Marbles 2. Anything but Me 3. Round Room 4. Mexican Cousin 5. Friday 6. Seven Below 7. Mock Song 8. 46 Days 9. All of These Dreams 10. Walls of the Cave 11. Thunderhead 12. Waves

Well he said he bought a CD so I figured if both of them are on it, it was one of the Live Phish series. I'm going to go ahead and guess its live Phish Vol. 10 since both of them songs are on it, I have that one it has a ripping second set with 2001>Mikes>simple>catapult>simple>mikes>I am hydrogen>weekapauge>the man who stepped into yesterday>avenu malcanu>the man who stepped into yesterday>Fluff head......... like whoa man WTF?
Anyways I'm really glad you enjoy them looner, you'll have to try to make a show in 2003, if your in the states I'm sure they will get close enought to catch them.
They just released like 4 halloween shows that are just fucking smoking, I'd check them out, they cover complete albums from the Who, Talking Heads, velvet underground, and the beatles. Pure insanity.
