ST Voyager was OK. Definitely the weakest of the ST series.

The Next Generation was far superior though.

i read every single episode description, and none of them matched my memory.

wiki has this category for all episodes involving the holodeck and i combed that too.

its very possible that im not remembering correctly.  oh well.  this show is great

Are you sure it wasn't the one I mentioned?  Where they are in the black and white sci-fi fantasy world?

yeah im sure.  i know that episode.

infact i know a lot of the episodes, so in a lot of cases i can definitively rule them out as separate.

i think voyager was great until it became "let's watch 7 of nine walk around in tight spandex trying to find her humanity!" she isn't really that hot, imo, and besides, i'd rather get quality sci-fi and watch porn another time.

actually, the actress who plays janeway threatened to walk off the show after this went on too long.

for me, though, nothing beats tng. picard was spot on the thinking man's (read: geek's) captain, whereas riker was the captain kirk type of captain. gave scrawny nerdy kids everywhere hope for a brighter future :sun:

Growing up I always hated Riker's face. Charles Xavier for the win.

I've always been a star wars nut but my friend and his dad recently got me into Star Trek and I don't know why it's taken me so long. Haven't really watched much of the series but I'm working my way through the movies right now and studying one of those encyclopedias with every bit of detailed technological and scientific background information G-Rod could have possibly come up with. There's just soooooooo much to learn.. I can't wait to understand what the fucks up with the whales.

Oh and Battlestar Galactica

I recommend starting at TNG S01E01 and then working through all several hundred episodes all the way through :yesnod:

If you weren't there for the original series, for the nostalgia value, then there's no point in watching it, ever.  I'd watch the animated series before watching that bs.
