i remember that it was a very flamboyant guy that was forcing the crew to reenact a play.  he had them trapped on the holodeck, but they were able to trick him somehow. 

the most striking this is that this episode had a very very different production style than any other episode ive seen.  it was really whimsical, and mysterious.  it was tight as shit
