Short and sweet chick question post

So this azn girl that I've been friends with for like 3 years transferred schools and doesn't live here anymore. She still comes here to hang out with friends sometimes. She calls me once or twice a week to go out to dinner. I go and she seems to have fun, laughs the whole time.

But seriously, how do you tell if a chick friend wants more than just being friends? Never been in that situation before.

Seriously, you should try including alcohol into the dinners, that'll loosen her up nicely. But your in a good situation here. There's a very likely fact that she is thinking the EXACT same thing you are right now. How to make the next move...but most likely she will wait for you. I suggest since your already going out to dinner on a weekly basis, just ask her if she'd like to go on a official date, and maybe extend the dinner into a show as well. And just be yourself.

I've been in this situation before. Friends with a girl that I wanted to be more with. However, when I think about it the real reason we were friends to begin with was due to their current boyfriends at the time. And I found out that If I didn't plan on breaking them up, then I should get out while I can, so I don't end up as a shoulder to cry on for months and months, making it inappropriate to try and get with them. So you have a MAJOR advantage here.

Also if Asian chicks were really that into big goofy white guys, I think my friends would have knocked up half the Asian population by now. Thats totally false.

Thing is, it's not that easy. She's a sweetheart for a frat that I pledged. I dropped (thank god I'm not one of those guys), but I still have a few friends in the frat. If I'm mistaken about her wanting to get with me, it's gonna be really awkward times with her(duh)and a bunch of friends.

I've never really understood these pickles, but maybe that's just who I am.

Every female friendship I forge has an element of sexual tension. In other words, I'm interested in a friendship for reasons beyond friendship. Likewise, the girl is too.

This isn't to say that there aren't women I'm friends with whom I don't have any interest in a romantic relationship with, but they are more along the lines of friends of friends or acquaintances than anything. The ones I seek out and specifically get to know, are the ones that I'm interested in. If they are willing to get to know me back, then we've got something forming that will not result in me wondering if I'm just a friend or not.

Perhaps I just don't believe in platonic relationships. If a guy and girl are getting to know each other intimately, it's for reasons beyond friendship.

Thats a silly stereo type. Statistically speaking there are many more Asian women that married Asian men (China) however, that does bring up the question given the chance (US) would they still stick with asian men?

He's been friends with her for a long time, don't you think it'd be a little fucked up if one night he just kissed her? And as far as just spontaneously trying to fuck her, most girls aren't just gonna fuck you because you all of a sudden give them the opportunity. At least not the type worth typing a post about...

I think maybe just play it off casually and make a joke about like you 2 getting together and see what she says. if she laughs and says something flirty back she prob won't reject you if you try to kiss her later on. i was honestly thinking you should just like watch a movie and kiss her thing too.

The only way I can envision platonic relationships, is in forced settings, such as the workplace, where you have no choice but to form a relationship with coworkers (male and female)

As human beings, we are drawn to be friends with those similar to us. This can be observed in a variety of ways. As a male, men are always going to be more similar, and thus more compatible as friends.

A female may share similar personal beliefs and hobbies, but there is always going to be fundamental differences between the genders. Culture and biology make sure of it.

As a result, why would a species which chooses its friends by commonalities, opt for the opposite sex, the more different sex, as a friend? It wouldn't. It either is forced into it, or it chooses it because the other sex has something unique to offer -- reproduction!
