Is anyone else very excited about Empire: Total War?

I really liked how the campaign was set up on the first one, the second not so much.

This one looks cool though.

I'm curious to see how the gameplay will work with that many gunpowder weapons though, a little nervous it might not work out as well.

i am sure this game is cool, but the fucking demo was glitchy as fuck. i never even got in the game. i am too lazy to find a torrent...someone link my ass.

got this in the mail yesterday, only had a lil go on it...was pretty amazing
obv. the guns make play a lil different
the naval battles are great!
i rekon my life for the next few months will be non existant = )

I got this game yesterday. It's freaking awesome. It's very different from previous Total War titles though, in many respects. An empire spanning the entire world has a very different dynamic than a smaller European empire.

The naval battles are amazing, even if you lose, you'll be in awe the entire time.

The only thing is, I have a pretty good PC:
Windows XP Home (5.1, Build 2600)
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS (256.0 MB memory)
1022 MB RAM
AMD Athlon 64 Processor ~2.4 GHz
Direct X 9.0c

With that, I can only run the game on medium detail level (it doesn't even give me a higher option) on 1024x768 or 1152x864. It's awesome, and still looks good, but it's kind of sad that I can't appreciate it fully.

In the end, if you've got the computer to handle it, then this game is a GREAT buy. It's spectacular.

Seriously? And it runs well? My computer is a bit better than that and I gave up.

Maybe I should go pick it up, then.

It runs a bit slow, but its bearable. It's worth the tradeoff, the game is really fun. I recommend you go grab it. It's worth it. It's considerably better than the demo, which was AGONIZINGLY slow, I gave up on the demo too... But I grabbed the game, and I never regretted it.
