To delete facebook or not to. hmmmmmmmmmmmm

I really can't decide. On one hand it really is a great way to keep contacts and reach people that I don't have their numbers, but at the same time the whole friends things kinda pisses me off. everyone thinks they have to be everyone's friend. also facebook can be a really pointless waste of time.  One thing keeping me from deleting my account is that I get invited to party's through facebook sometimes.

anyone ever go through this great question about yourself?

I like facebook, I plan on keeping it for the time being. I know a lot of people on there whose numbers I don't have as well as a lot of girls, it's a good way to keep in touch.

Certain aspects of it piss me off though, like the fucking apps. They're ALL retarded.

:shrug: really depends on how you relate to your social circles. Either it's useful or it's not. I'd definitely delete mine if it wasn't useful.

Newbie here.

I deleted my facebook and I have no regrets.  None of my friends even talked to me on there anyway.  It was just a stupid popularity contest.  I can see keeping it solely for contact reasons but the whole profile thing is bullshit.  :thumbdown:

That's actually why I prefer Facebook to Myspace - you can't "pimp out" your profile by cluttering it up with crappy graphics and sound effects and html garbage and colors that cause retinal bleeding. I have Myspace too but I'm the only person I know who uses the default profile layout.

Deleted my myspace over a year ago, deleted my facebook almost a year ago.

Never looked back since. I like to meet real people who don't throw on their myspace face and type all this stupid shit that needs no real emotion. Come on guys, this is the internet, if you want to keep those friends you will.
