Shovel some snow poor man

I noticed a man walking around trying to shovel people's walkways after the snow we got this morning.
I assumed he was a bum looking for crack or booze money.

Interestingly enough, the guy actually looked pretty decent, I was polite and said I'd take care of it myself and exchanged some cordial small talk, and in  a joking around kinda way I asked 'making any good money out there?'

Turns out, he was quite the contrary from a crack bum, he was one of the upper middle class people that in the past 5 years have started to relocate to this area...
he said he was a laid off Analyst for Morgan Stanley trying to make extra money from inadequate unemployment funds.


Heh, when you start seeing white collared people out shoveling snow, isn't it quite the reminder that WE'RE ALL DOOMED!?

times are tough right now, for many many people, in all walks of life. the white collars are being traded for the blue ones, and those that cant find their way to a new job are finding themselves out of a home.


As a capitalist, it kills me to see this all happening, it is just the end result of our own greed and foolishness.
