No, I don't think Bob Marley ever did acid. He just smoked a ton of ganja based mostly on his religious beliefs. High times interviewed him in 1976 and asked him specifically if he has done acid. Here is the excerpt:

High Times: Have you ever tried acid?

Bob Marley: Me hear 'bout people who do it. No, me meet people who do it, an' dem tell me. And when dem tell me, I travel to de same place. I mean, when a guy explain it an' ya listen, ya can go all de way up to de same place as him.

This is a funny one.

At one stage,Lee "Scratch" Perry went a bit mad from smoking so much weed so decided to walk around backwards for a month.

And...tied cd's onto his shoes(shiny side up) so he could see where he was going like with a mirror. :rofl2:

Very unlikely.  All of the Rastas that I know believe that almost all drugs, except Ganja, are very bad for you.  In their eyes, LSD is no different than heroin or methamphetamine.

. Bob Marley is beyond acid . Some of you guys on the post are talking about how sad it is he didnt do acid and what he could have done with it.First off let me state that i believe not everyone NEEDS acid to get to that certain place. Bob Marley was a mystic to say the least , and to go off saying that its a shame that he didnt try acid is really well,  an elementary idea .

Bob Marley can very well be the most significant musical artist of the 20th century. He spoke a language through his songs that touched people from all over the globe. His songs taught the people about unity, mysticism , political oppression, metaphysical & artistic insights. But even beyond the lyrics of his songs, Bob had a style that was untouched by many musicians, Just through the way bob walked and danced you could feel the vibrations of his spoken words.


And arent these types of things that LSD brings out in somebody? Sure, some artists would not be where they are today if it wasnt for LSD, but  who are you to say that LSD is the only catalyst for such things?

so please justinsanity before you go off stating these immature statements because YOU simply did not understand what i meant , Just remember that we are all on different vibrations of thought, and just because YOU didnt understand what i meant doesn't mean that others didnt :sun:
