such an unimpressive letter. Joe Rogan has the persuasive argument skills of a highschool linebacker. He opens the very first line by saying he would like to "respectfully communicate" his opinion, and then immediately launches into an emotional tirade ripe with swearing.
When making a public statement to a large multinational company using the word "respect" sets a standard of eloquence that he did a very poor job adhering too. IMO he just sounds like a whiny kid at the store who can't eat the candy he wants to.

i was thinking the same thing.  altho at the same time i agree with alot of what he said.  but yea, he contradicted his statements a few times going back and forth from, now hear me out, with respect, to, you motherfuckers!  kinda silly

Joe Rogan is cool and all. But he preaches the "Word of Psychedelics" WAYYYYYYYY to strongly. And a 1 sided extreme on any argument, never helps a cause. By the way in which he talks about the psychedelic experience...

Pigasus said:
I remember when I first heard him talking about DMT ....

yea.  he quotes Terrence Mckenna a bit here without even giving credit.  that and his whole tone and energy in this kinda puts me off.  hes kinda a joke imo and definitly doesnt do any good for DMT and the whole tone of psychedelics with this.  hes all rambunctious and immaturely hyper.  kinda full of himself.  that and the banter and giggles from the other guys just kill it.

i think with all the negative attention drawn to celebrities for "drugs", it takes a lot of balls to be a celebrity and speak out for pot.

i do agree the message was not meant to change kelloggs' minds, they arent gonna change, its a waste of time to write it better for the hopes of impressing someone.

it was a laugh for everyone who knows the truth, and yes it was very "hello, fuck you, goodbye."

i like this read very much.
it was a good rant either way.

How is he helping the cause. The only thing that Kellogs is going to think, is that he is just another pothead who is supporting Phelps for being a user like himself. And here we go with the MJ never killed anyone arguement. Well guess what, 99% of psychedelics never killed anyone either but no one is fighting that battle.
BTW, he sucked ass on the Man Show.

Joe Rogan's Open Letter to Kelloggs Re: Michael Phelps

Dear Kellogg’s,

Respectfully, fuck you!

Good day, sirs.

Yours truly,

Joe Rogan.

He just said the same thing we've all been saying around the "water cooler".

Joe Rogan is real people and you guys give him shit for not being the Martin Luther King of Marijuana; or the Gandhi of Ganja.

Tsk, everyone's a critic.

What are YOU doing to help the movement?

Exactly.
It seems there are a lot of ignorant people here. There is no legit way you can hate on Joe.
He's a fucking boss.
As long as there are successful people, there will be someone to hate on them.

haha, how's it feel up there on that pedestal bud?
I completely understand that this was written as comedy, but his presentation in the first paragraph or two sound like he's actually expecting something to come of this.

I'm not hating on Joe because he's successful, I'm hating on him because he's in a position to actually influence the situation, but instead he flip-flops on his tone of argument, and writes a paper that only appeals to people already on his side. We don't need to convince stoners that pot is harmless, we need to persuade the biased, terrified opponents of the movement that weed is far more benevolent than they were led to believe.

I do everything I can to help the marijuana movement, but I'm not a national celebrity, so my vocal abilities are considerably more limited than Mr. Rogan's.
and THAT my friend, is a legitimate reason.

joe rogan is my fucking hero.

he's the second best MMA commentator, #1 being bas rutten. he has the balls to be open with his drug usage despite the fact that the whole MMA scene is pretty anti drugs.

word.  he goes on a very 16 year-old type of rant that has little to do with phelps or kelloggs.

joe rogan: i hate your fucking policies but im not gonna stop buying your product, you fucking unamerican propagandists.

CEO of Kelloggs:  well, now that you put it like that, joe rogan, i guess we'll put him back on a cereal box

hes not helping the cause, and hes really not funny

Pedestal? Don't be fucking silly.

For you, and anybody else out there who may be confused, read Joe's thread on the topic: http://forums.joerogan.net/showthread.php?t=82266

Then take a deep fucking breath, and relax.
Some of you are really missing the point.

edit; Mencia fans probably.
