The New York Post blows bigtime. It's barely above shit like the National Enquirer. Anybody who takes the Post seriously is wasting their time... that said... not funny. And not just because its racist bullshit, but because its not funny.

A side anecdote: i was once sitting on the steps of a courthouse in Brooklyn and was approached by a Post reporter to comment on some event. I told him I had no respect for his shitty paper and that I wouldn't stoop to being mentioned in such a rag.

In conclusion: Fuck the NY Post!

Well, a lot of the faces Bush made look a lot like a monkey, therefore pictures like the one I posted of Bush comparing him to a monkey are racist.  This is pretty straight forward.

So where was The Holy Racist Al Sharpton when this happened, decrying the racism of comparing Bush to a chimp?  I guess it is only racist when you compare the authors of a poorly written spending bill to a chimp, not when you compare the president to a chimp.  (Congress wrote the bill, not the president.)  It is a good thing that the comic wasn't referring to Obama or there would be holy hell to pay.  Oh wait, never mind, we already decided that it is fine to compare the president to a chimp...

If you are at all familiar w the post, you'll know they meant it in the simplest possible way... the racist interpretation. I am all for free expression and not suppressing people's ideas (even ignorant ones), but this just goes to show how unreliable a source of info the Post is. No point crying over spilled milk, I just hope this wakes up at least some of the people I see reading that paper on the train every day.

..it`s not that hard to figure out why it was a bad cartoon.

Not my rules or sayings,thats just the way society is..I personally think it`s wrong to have those beliefs.

I am white and would consider it funny if bush was compared to a cracker......but I dont have racism issues either........:shrug:
