The weather and the airline have conspired to fuck me.

I just took a JetBlue flight outta New York to California, where I was gonna catch a connecting flight up to Oregon.  However, upon attempting to land in Long Beach, CA twice, we ended up getting rerouted to San Diego because of inclement weather. Like the one fucking day a year that Long Beach has terrible weather and it's the day I need to land there.

So now I'm stuck in the airport in San Diego, and have already missed my connecting flight to Portland in Long Beach. I got bumped to tomorrow morning's flight but now comes the wild card - is JetBlue gonna make me sit and wait in the airport until morning, or are they gonna hook me up with a hotel room? Stay tuned.

And mark my words - I WILL eat In-N-Out in Long Beach before this is over. Oh yes I will. Cheeseburger animal style w/fries and a B&W milkshake.

My money is on no comped hotel room. Here's why:

We got stranded due to winds in Dallas/Ft Worth last Christmas and they said they would give us a voucher for half the cost of a cheap ass motel room. We took it since we had no other choice. Then we went to the pickup area for the hotel shuttle and waited for 3 hours in the cold. We called the motel at least 5 times during these 3 hours, and they kept assuring us that they were sending out shuttles, but the shuttles were filling up before they got to our terminal. And this just kept happening. For hours. So finally out of frustration, I called up the Hyatt Regency DFW and booked a $120/night room just so I could sleep for 4 hours and make my 5am flight out.

In fact, in the future, if you have the option of not flying, you should do that instead. Driving is far superior, even though it does require some extra travel time.

I'm stranded at a Holiday Inn in Long Beach, California. I just walked a mile to In-N-Out, ate a double double (animal style) with french fries and a medium Dr. Pepper, and bought a fifth of Jim Beam at a liquor store on my walk back. Things are better.

But I wish I was in Portland. :frown: On stand-by for a flight tomorrow.

burger king or mcdonald's is the equivalent of sonic, they just don't have such a diverse menu + all foods all day


but the quality is the same...worse than piss poor.  plus, sonic is 2-3x as expensive

They just opened the first Sonic here, ever.

All the townies are in a complete up-roar, they have never seen one before.  But Sonic has always done nation-wide advertising, they so their commercials have been whipping the fat Wisconsinites into an uproar.
