It amazes me that some people actually restrict their diet over a religion.

I was in a place, in which it is forbidden to the radical population there are mushrooms. Though their ancient rituals obviously did not manage it, and their culture probably not could be, culture of shown initial light (structure). Not all is forbidden as in a condition to be admin. Or it have made in mercenary benefit not of many people taking place then in the chapter of management.

I was just reading this thread. I am not really into Krishna or Hinduism, I just happen to love Indian food. I am not a religious person at all. I only feel a very close connection with nature, but I don't like when this is institutionalized, like in a church or religion.

garlic increases rajas and creates hyperactivity.  it has a specific ayurvedic health reason why they don't eat garlic and onions, i forget exactly what it is but i think its what i said above

this is from a yoga website

-Onions and garlic, and the other Alliums are classified as rajasic and to some extent tamasic, which means that they increase passion and to some degree ignorance.
-Rajasic and tamasic foods are also not used because they are detrimental to meditation and devotions. Of course some of the Alliums have specific health benefits; garlic is respected as a natural antibiotic. In recent years, the cardiovascular implications of vegetable Alliums has been studied in some detail, although the clinical implications of onion and garlic consumption from this point of view are not well understood (Block 1992; Briggs et al. 2001). Nevertheless, despite medical comings and goings, alliums are still avoided by spiritual adherents because they stimulate the central nervous system, can act as a natural aphrodisiac, and disturb meditation.
