Where the fuck do you find motivation?

I've come to realize I am a MAJOR procrastinator. If something does not NEED to be done that second I do not do it. This often leads to papers being written mere minutes before they are due and homework piling up to the point that I am unable to do everything I need to get done. I am sick and tired of living this way.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I just need to find some motivation.

Where do you find motivation from?

How do you get yourself to start doing something before you absolutely have to do it?

I get high before doing any of my schoolwork.  I just can't focus any other way.  Also I go to a place where there will be no distractions.  Just a room full of books.

i have the same problem. i struggled through high school because of it. i got prescribed adderal. it was like 20mg of pure motivation

I just want the motivation to do things I know I should be doing instead of doing the things I want to do. If I know I have something to do I end up doing anything and everything BUT that thing.....wtf is wrong with me? Is this some type of psychological disorder? Like oppositional behavior or something? hah

oh, to stay on topic...i'm a serious procrastinator.  d can confirm that


during december, i was drinking a lot of coffee and balancing it out with cannabis.  kept me energetic and level headed enough to get a shitton of research and lecture making done.  but it's hard for me to find motivation.  and when i do, it tends to be in things outside of myself which, ultimately, let me down and worse than before
