Poppies are fine, the cold doesn't bother them at all, it's the heat that seems to get to them.

Mine are doing good as well,although that severe cold we had previously had messed them up a bit.Poppies can withstand freezing temps when seedlings,but bigger plants seem to suffer damage from really cold temps.when you going to post some pics for us to see of your.Check the grow log forum if you want to see mine:grin:

Damn, I just got hit with some freak cold right now. I had to scrape Ice off my window with my radio case and a shirt.  No point in buying an ice scraper down here...obviously thats a lie.

I lived in Chicago for 8 years, I know what cold is lol, chicago is freaky cold esp with wind chill. Coldest I remember in chicago was -25C. But down here it gets real cold bout once a year. It was -5C last night with ice rain,  that's about as cold as it gets here...cold enough to kill your plants for sure. People down here don't know how to drive in Icy weather either, so there were tons of accidents. In fact, valet parking for the airport totaled my brothers car because they ran into ice and had a 4 car pile up lol.

Damn, and isn't it humid in Florida? Humid/wet cold will certainly kill a bunch of your cacti in only 1 or 2 nights
