Tell me how to root B. Caapi

Well go on, tell me.

Right now I have them in little pots in miracle grow potting soil. Its well watered. I dipped the ends in rooting hormone and put plastic baggies over them. Should I utilize my reptile's heating pad?

Edit: These are cuttings by the way.

Rooting caapi can be tricky. I´d suggest you take in cosideration the moon, for root growth.

I usually just put them in water but you can put them in damp soil too. Some will root, some will not

I would invest in some decent rooting hormone if I were you. In my experience, most vines including caapi can be rather difficult to root. Any help you can give it would be worthwhile.

I've bad luck with chemicals.

I told the owner of an ethnosupply place that I had rotted several cuttings. He told me his secret was to aerate the water, using an aquarium bubbler. It's my understanding that a clear tube goes from the air pump to a piece of pumice-like stone.

I like this idea, because it's harmless and could be cheap.

I've used the bubbler rooting idea and it works. Until some nasty fungus gets in it, then it no longer works. Plain water works too, sometimes.

I have not used this method.

In your opinion, does the bubbler tend to work better than plain water?
