My grandfather passed away this morning. I was just called by my mother. I don?t know what else to do other than write how I feel at this very moment.

This illusion of self holds a trick of reality by the hand and weeps from frail misconceptions. The all-huge most powerful unthinking thing sometimes called the universe has reclaimed my grandfather into its own unself. 
There is no difference between his breathing and not breathing, between suffering and not suffering. Only that when he was breathing, suffering, he could tell me those stories that I listened to ten times apiece. Now he won't tell me the eleventh time, and I have forgotten the stories. Then I will forget his comfortable voice, and eventually his last smile and fascinated eyes will pass my tightly searching closed eyes, too fast to see. 

What does it matter that I will soon forget? I too will be forgotten, even by my own illusion of self.

ive always been okay with death, mostly because ive experienced it since i was a very little kid. ive had several of my close relatives die while i was still young, and so from the get go, and ive had friends that have died as well. because of this, ive realized that death is a very real and very permanent thing. so i do not fear death, rather, i fear the wasting of life.

thats why i cant seem to accept wasting my time, my life on things like school, more school, and work. our society has built up a system that EVERYONE MUST follow, otherwise apparently your life is useless. from the time youre a small child to the time youre a grown adult, you go through different stages of education, that will supposedly prepare you for the real world. and what is the real world exactly? more work of course. we must work so that we can work. but why do we work? so that we can get money so that we can survive and have happiness? but will we really be happy if all were doing is picking petals off of the small flower that is our life?

live your life with no regrets. and if you have regrets already, which you must, do your best to fix them. writing this entire thing makes me a hypocrite, since of course i will falter. but, i will do my best to do what i can to make my life go as well as i want it to. some things are out of my control right now, but once i do have control i will make sure that i do everything that is in my power to do what i want to do and never look back and frown. do your best as well, because this is our only time."
