i always wanted to try marijuana since I was in 7th grade, I heard about all the anti drug stories about how fun they had being high on weed, but then I heard about the bad evil stories about cocaine and heroin and I never wanted to touch those.
I heard about a story about some girl that was dosed with LSD without her knowledege and she went crazy because she was mentally unstable.
I never wanted to try that drug or cocaine in my life!
I first tried alcohol in 9th grade, loved it..I liked acting goofy and enjoyed how talky and free I felt.
I tried weed and LSD in my senior year, weed made me paranoid the first 6 times or more I did it, but I tried only LSD once the day after school, I liked it, but I never did it again until I was 19.
But hey I always have wanted to try marijuana, anyway..so I always was courious about drugs without any peer pressure.
But I wish I never started smoking tobacco, that one is still hard to quit to this day.

BUMP!

I had a fairly neutral opinion on them until one of my friends started using methamphetamine and opiates. I became quite anti-drug then but after a little while gave them a shot and fell in love with psychedelics. Still harbor a hate for meth and most opiates though.

I have this vivid memory in grade 4 or so, my teacher told the class "LSD or "acid" comes on a stamp, and people go around drugging kids with it by placing it on their skin. Then the kids will want to go jump off a building thinking that they could fly".

So that always scared me, all I thought it did was make you insane and think you could fly and make you think you had bugs under your skin.

I never really condemned people for using them, though. I was just scared of being drugged LOL.

Then I got to highschool, tried some things, and it's all gravy.

i was a goody two shoes, straight A student right up through the end of highschool.  my parents had talked to my brothers and i about pot, and always said "if you MUST TRY IT, come to us.  we will buy it from a legit source."  of course, i never did that.

i hung out with a lot of kids that smoked weed.  we would always go to the mall and hang out.  actually, now that i think about it my friends always SAID they smoked weed...  they would even borrow money from me to 'buy it', because i was the only one with a job...  but in actuality, i don't think i ever smelled weed on any of them.  hmmmmmmmm~~~

anyway, my mom would say she would buy us weed to try if we had to, but at the same time she was the kind of mom that would have been 'disappointed in us' if we got bad grades or lied or did drugs.  suffice it to say, that was a deterrent (funny how the gentle things like that work better than yelling).

when i was a kid tho, i would always ask my mom what it was like to be 'crazy'.  i would ask her if there were any movies about how crazy people saw things, and stuff like that.  i was fascinated by insanity.  could have been the time - early 90s.

i came to college, and moved into a substance/alcohol free dorm.  i met this girl from texas that was really into 'indie music' and the whole drug scene thing, tho she never admitted she did drugs herself.  after reading 'the electric kool aid acid test', i decided i HAD to try marijuana.  i went home for christmas break, and it turned out many of my friends had already started smoking.  we hit the bowl in this car outside of tops.  i remember HATING it at first.  i was sooo paranoid.  i couldn't stand being outside, like not 'inside' a car or something.  i couldn't make it into tops, and my friends brought me home, lol.

the next time i tried weed, i met this kid in my japanese class who invited me to go eat sushi.  we went to his house and RIPPED his giant ass bong, and played shogi.  THAT TIME was fucking great.  i remember giggling so damn hard, and i couldn't comprehend ANYTHING.  and then FOOD WAS SO DELICIOUS.

after that, i was hooked.  i started seeking out kids that looked like smokers, hung out with them at parties, found dealers, and started buying 8ths.
