Any of you ever play the game "Asherons Call"

just a question..

Played it when i was on a level 4 and it was just wow... I felt like i was Completely pulled into the game

ve actually heard of it. I was thinkin of playing it, but then i started playing diablo II.  I just recently sold that game, im lookin for a good game to play.  Is Asherons call any good?  Another thing, do you need a high speed connection to have decent game play, or will 56k do    :crazy:  What is the entire concept of the game?

I played Ultima Online for about 5 years.

Been bored with it the last few months though.

I'd wait for Shadowbane to come out! :wink:

I just cant remember where from.. if it was from Asherons Call, IRC, or Ultima :/

Ive played both EverQuest and Asheron's Call. They are both great games, but highly addictive. I stopped playing EQ because it seemed to me that the class system was too unbalanced... I stopped playing AC after I got bored with it... I downloaded this tool called GEAR for AC and it allows you to make your character do everything from 2X-256X faster than normal. It was great fun lol :wink: Be careful if you decide to use GEAR. It can get you banned  :blush:

heh i was a Anti-Gear in AC :P

Gear Charecters goin PK were a pain.. caused alot of lag, but i still managed to toast em

AC just lost its fun :frown:

Nah, I wasn't Amber Glow in UO, I just invented it for this forum. :smile:

Should be good when it comes out, but it's been delayed 100 times.

Yeah, Shadowbane is all about PvP and having big wars and stuff.

AC and EQ are all about getting levels (which is a completely boring thing to do when you realize you are doing basically the same thing from level 1-100).

the first real online RPG game i ever played was Asherons Call. except for muds and 2d games, of course. it was a nice game. i played it with a friend and it was certianly fun. Graphics were great. But the enemies/creatures looked all the same. AND they werent that original. Now on the other hand, EverQuest had a MILLION different enemies/creatures. I was addicted to that game for a year or so. By addicted i mean, i never went outside. I ate at the computer, and i barely kept up with cleaning myself. i had bad hygeine at the time. My day consisted of...EVERQUEST. all day long. i cant explain all the good qualities of that game. But there came a time when i realized...im pale, fat, and i need a hair cut. So i quit...sadly. One of the best times of my life was playing Everquest. Sad, i know.

Though, at one time after Everquest, i did Beta-test the game Dark Age of Camelot. Anyone hear about that game, or ever play it? Great game. Very D&D like. But lacking in something that everquest had. maybe community?
