it came to my attention by a friend that there are two ways of doing smoke rings. one, the one i do, is to put hte smoke in your mouth and blow out ever so gently, or sometimes not at all, and then pop your jaw up n back down, letting out a ring. but a friend of mine does it without moving his jaw. he makes the o with his lip andthen uses his tongue to push out the smoke. this one i cant do at all...

I'm exactly opposite, I can only do rings by pushing the smoke out with my tongue, never been able to do the jaw method.

cloud catching (blowing out a big puff only to suck it all back in)

That's called "ghosting" around here... what's all that about holding tokes in? Haha.

I like to do ghosts. I can also blow smoke rings and French Inhale (a real toughie )

Not really smoking per se, but I can sometimes hold a smoke in my mouth, flip it using my lips only, and catch it by the filter again. I also love to put lighter fluid in my hand, light it on fire and light my cig that way.

i can't slowly close my nose like i can my mouth, and i can't inhale with my mouth and exhale with my nose at the same time.  care to explain how its done?

here, ghosting has 2 different meanings.

if you ghost a hit, you hold it in until all the smoke is gone.

if you blow a ghost, you make a big puff and suck it back in.
