ligers are crazy. because of the mixed breeding they lack the gene that stops growth in normal lions and tigers. thus...they keep getting bigger until they die.

my house cat attacks me sometimes just for fun, totally unprovoked. that liger wouldn't even have to be hungry to kill it's trainer. it could easily dismember someone just trying to play.

But if it's trained by humans from birth wouldn't it know that they are nice people and not want to hurt them?

yeah. i don't think it would want to kill humans if it was treated very well. it would most likely be an accident.

i think a liger would still feel the pull of instinct to bit their 'trainers' face clean off though. it just knows that it would be to no avail, for all it knows the 'trainer' is the only thing that can feed it.
that is of course unless said liger had previously sank its canines into the hind leg of a fleeing chunk of meat and hair.

I can't wait until they start genetically engineering some 100lb guard cats for peoples houses.
