Identify this *BLUE* mushroom please

I was out walking looking at all the cool mushrooms, and a completely blue mushroom caught my wonderful girlfriend's eye.

Anyway, The print is blue, and when the cap is opened it leaks blue juice. Thick blue liquid. I know it's not active or anything, I just haven't heard anything about this before and I'm curious.

The cap curves upward, so when viewing it it looks like a child's spin top (or an icecream cone).

The stem was really short, and was blue too.

Spore print was blue and sticky.

Your mushroom is Lactarius indigo. Incidentally, the spore print is actually white - the blue is latex which oozed out from the mushroom onto whatever you were getting your spore print on. They are edible and not active.

Oo, Indigo Milky capper.. Lactarius indigo, very pretty mushrooms.

I believe that this mushroom also has at least one or two other "variations" to it..
the ones that i have found here in florida are normally smaller and tend not to leak that much of the indigo liquid..
They smell excellent though, very sweet smelling mushroom.
